Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to sit down with Macon Bacon broadcaster to recap the 2019 season prior to the start of the Coastal Plain League playoffs.

Shaemus shared his thoughts on the Bacon's success both on the offensive and pitching side, Head Coach Danny Higginbotham's influence on the team, opposing CPL players that impressed him this summer and his growth as the team's broadcaster.

Back in June, I sat down with Martinsville Mustangs broadcaster Connor Akeman when Martinsville visited the Macon Bacon during a road trip.

Connor touched the Mustangs season so far, different Coastal Plain League ballparks/travel and key players for the team so far as well.

AUDIO: Recapping 2018 Macon Bacon Season With Director of Marketing Tyler Vertin

I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Macon Bacon Director of Marketing Tyler Vertin and get his thoughts on the team's inaugural 2018 season.

The Bacon were top 10 in all of Summer College Baseball Teams in attendance with over 47,000 spectators enter Historic Luther Williams Field and 11 out of 22 home games that were sellouts. Macon averaged over 2,200 fans per game, which is third most ever in the history of the ballpark.

Some of the topics that I talked about with Tyler include:
1. Overall thoughts on the Bacon's success in 2018 with attendance and fan experience
2. Some of the top memories of the year on/off the field
3. Some new additions that will be added to ballpark in 2019
4. Expectations for 2019
