Thoughts on the Bruins and today
As the trade deadline approaches at 3 pm today, I wouldn't mind seeing the Bruins add one more depth forward possibly for paille or a draft pick. A guy like Chris Clark from the Blue Jackets would be a nice extra forward for the bruins if need be. Has some good expierence and has some offense too.
NHL trade updates that occured today
Florida Panthers trade Forward Radek Dvorak and a fifth round pick in 2011 to the Atlanta Thrashers for Forwards Niclas Bergfors and Patrick Rissmiller.
Thoughts: This trade allows the Thrashers to get some extra help on the penalty kill and some depth on the third line as well. For the panthers it allows the to get younger and more deeper in scoring in Bergfors, who could use a change of scenery after a brutal start this season. He is still young and has skill to become a 20-30 goal scorer like a showed us last year. Rissmiller is a more an AHLer/part time fill in. No real value for him here in FLA.
Florida trades Defenseman Dennis Wideman to Capitals for a 2011 3rd round pick and center Jake Hauswirth.
Thoughts: This deal does help the Caps get better on the blueline even though Wideman has struggled defensively this season. He will help out the power play and provide decent offense. The Panthers keep racking up the draft picks and it will help them further develop their system.
More to come later.

The layout of my blog
If you are wondering about the layout of my blog, the picture of the background is of the campus of Southern New Hampshire University in Nashua, NH and the front picture is of a lake on the campus of Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, NH. Hope you like it and any feedback on it, would be nice to hear about.
Looking back at some late 90's songs
Everyone remembers the late 1990's as having some of the greatest music ever. Below is a list I come up with some great songs that you could consider if you haven't heard in awhile.
Rob Thomas featuring Santana -- Smooth (June 1999). This is personally my most favorite song of all time. It was the number one hit Billboard 100 for a record 12 weeks from October 12, 1999 to Feburary 12, 2000. It finished in the top fourty songs from the 90's era and number 2 in the 1999 top 100 hits behind Faith Hill's Breathe. Just an overall great listen with a complete rhythm to it.
The Product G & B featuring Santana -- Maria Maria (November 1999). This was one song that really got me interested in Carlos Santana and his amazing abilities. The song has a great Spanish vibe to it that makes it complete and Santana's guitar playing is terrific in this song that finished number 3 on the 1999 top 100 hits.
Third Eye Blind -- Jumper (November 1998). This hit ended as the 40 best song of 1998 and was the beginning to see the start of some of the top hit songs including Semi-Charmed Life and How It Going To Be. Growing up, this was one of my favorite songs that made me feel positive.
Goo Goo Dolls -- Iris (April 1998). As a runner up for song of the year in 1998, this song offers the meaning of a complete song as it has a great flow and a strong message. This is one of the bands most famous songs and it finished as the number 3 song for 1998.
Red Hot Chilli Peppers -- Scar Tissue (May 1999). Along with Smooth, this song was one of my top three songs growing up as it offered a great background rythm and excellent vocal impressions as well. It finished as the number 34 song of the 1990's.

I really appricate all the people that read my blog as I am getting accustomed to using it. Seeing people in Vietnam and Australia viewing it is pretty awesome. Hoping to write more as the year goes on about different topics that are not just about my school.
