Recap: On Wednesday evening, the University of Bridgeport women's basketball team saw four starters score in double digits in their 76-68 win over Molloy College. Junior forward/center Tanisha Carter scored a team leading 22 points and racked up eight rebounds, while senior guard Edna Marant recorded her first double-double of the season with 14 pts and 11 rebounds. The key stat was that the Purple Knights out rebounded the Lions 42-27 including an 18-5 edge on the offensive glass.

Looking ahead: With the win, the Purple Knights have now won two in a row prior to loosing the previous and are now 5-10 overall and 3-2 in East Coast Conference play. They will host the University of District of Columbia on Saturday at 1 P.M. in Hubbell Gym. The Firebirds come into the game with a 11-3 record and are 2-2 in conference play.
