UB Men's Basketball Game Recap/Playoff Preview

On Saturday afternoon, the Purple Knights traveled to C.W. Post for a national televised game on CBS College Sports and did not let anyone done as the defeated the Pioneers 67-65. On Friday, Senior guard Dave Boykin told me he was pumped for this game and called it an amazing opportunity for his team. With the win, Bridgeport won the East Coast Conference regular season title with a 18-8 overall record and 18-3 ECC record.

• Center Msoo Ikaaytor 16 pts 8 rebs 2 steals.
• Guard Dave Boykin 10 pts 4 rebs 3 assists.

Looking ahead to next Saturday: The Purple Knights will be off until then and will face the winner of Wednesday night's matchup between N.Y.I.T. and Molloy College. The game will be played at 5 p.m. at Hubbell Gym in part of UB hosting the semifinals and final round the ECC playoff tournament with the winner of the tournament heading to the NCAA tournament. In the regular season, Bridgeport took two out of three meeting with N.Y.I.T and swept all three games against Molloy as well.
