UB Women's Soccer vs SNHU Recap

Bridgeport 3 Southern New Hampshire 1 FINAL

Summary: After an exciting fourth straight win to begin the 2011 season on Wednesday , the Purple Knights have shown the ability to pull through no matter what. After the Penmen tied the game in the 54th minute by Ashley Jaskula, Bridgeport scored two unanswered goals from junior Gabby Trombley and senior Kasey Kenny to earn the win.

Goal Scorers for UB
Kasey Kenny: Scored both the first and last goals of the game. Now has a team leading four goals and 10 points.  Assists on Goals: 1st Goal: Unassisted 2nd Goal: Giuana Prugger.
Gabby Trombley: Scored the go-ahead goal and her first of the season. Assist on goal: Katie Stanley

Notes: UB is now seventh in the nation in NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Rankings and number one in the East Region. On Saturday, the Purple Knights will travel to Mercy College and face the Mavericks, who are 1-4 on the season. Game time is set for 12 Noon. The next homestand will consist of C.W Post on Sept. 24 at 6 p.m., Stonehill College on Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. and N.Y.I.T. on Oct. 1 at 3 p.m. (Purple Knight Family Weekend Game).
