Women's Volleyball: Bridgeport 3 Caldwell 0 Final (3 Sets)
With the win, the Purple Knights improve to 6-1 on the season after sweeping the Cougars, who came into the game with a perfect 9-0 before falling to UB. The match saw 11 tied scores and 4 lead changes. UB will play the next three games on the road with stops to Molloy, Mercy and Dowling before returning to Hubbell Gym to host University of New Haven on Oct. 6 and C.W. Post on the 7th.

Men's Soccer: C.W. Post 1 Bridgeport 0 Final
The Purple Knights opened their East Coast Conference home opener against the Pioneers on Saturday but were shutout for the second consecutive game falling to 3-4 on the season. UB Goalkeeper Danny Hernandez recorded 10 saves in the loss. C.W. Post outshot Bridgeport 19-14 in the win. Next up for UB will be a road game to Wilmington (DE) University. The Wildcats come into the game 3-3-2 overall. Game time will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Kirkwood Complex.
Women's Soccer: Bridgeport 2 C.W. Post 0 Final
After two consecutive shutout victories over Mercy College and Bloomsburg University, the Purple Knights returned home to improve to 7-0 on the season and remain ranked fifth in the nation. The goal-scoring came from Senior Katie Stanley and Junior Asia Pulse, who each recorded their second goal of the season. UB outshot the Pioneers 12-9 and had more saves with a 5-2 advantage. On Wednesday night, Bridgeport will host Stonehill College from the Northeast-10 Conference at 6 p.m. at Knights Field. The Skyhawks come into the game with a 7-1-1 record.
