On Saturday afternoon, the UB women's lacrosse team got in some preseason action with a scrimmage against Post University at Knights Field in front a crowd of around 30-40 people. Even though the Purple Knights lost the game 11-7, they showed some like they can play with anyone. Sophomore midfielder Jennavie Orrell scored four of the goals and Sophomore defender Jessica Deutsch scored two goals and chipped in with an assist.
Looking forward to next week: Bridgeport will travel to Southern Connecticut State University on tuesday afternoon for one final scrimmage at 3:30 pm before opening the season next Friday at Post University at 4 p.m. then on tuesday March 8th play at Chestnut Hill College at 6 p.m. The first home game of the season will on Friday March 11th against Dominican College at 6 p.m. at Knights Field.
