Women's Volleyball: Bridgeport 3 C.W. Post 0 Final
With an impressive straight set match sweep over the Pioneers, Bridgeport recorded its fourth sweep of the season as they improved to 9-3 overall. Freshman Biljana Savic led the Purple Knights with 28 attacks and 14.5 points, while both teammates Larissa Oliveira and Fernanda Costa each had 13 attacks. There were 10 lead changes and 19 tied scores. The Purple Knights will travel to Garden City, N.Y. and take on Adelphi University at 7 p.m. The Panthers come into game with a 11-4 record. UB will return home on Thursday and Friday as they will host both Queens College [2-11 overall and 0-8 in ECC play] and American International College [8-10 overall from Northeast-10 Conference] in Hubbell Gym.

Women's Soccer: Bridgeport 4 Molloy 1 Final
The impressive streak of 11 wins to begin the 2011 season continued on Saturday when Bridgeport dominated Molloy. Senior forward Kasey Kenny recorded two goals as she now has a team leading eight goals. Freshman midfielder Giuana Prugger chipped in a goal and two assists in the win and senior forward Julia Colley scored her fourth goal. The Purple Knights outshot the Lions 12-7, while goalkeeper Julia Hanssen allowed her first goal in six matches. Up next for Bridgeport will be ECC rival Dowling College on next Saturday afternoon at Knights Field. The Golden Lions come into the game with a 8-3-1 record and 3-0-1 in conference play. Gametime is set for 3 p.m.
Men's Soccer: Bridgeport 1 Molloy 0 Final
Sophomore backfielder Lee Middleton's third goal of the season was only one scored in the game as the Purple Knights got back on the winning track after a tough loss to Bentley University last week. Goalkeeper Danny Hernandez recorded his fourth shutout of the season as UB improved to 6-5-0 overall and 2-2 in conference play. Bridgeport outshot the Lions 10-8 and recorded more corner kicks with an 8-2 advantage. The Purple Knights will return home next Saturday against Dowling College, who are 4-4-2 overall and 0-2-1 in ECC play. Gametime is 6 p.m. at Knights Field.
